Living room with sculptural light sofas and dark kitchen beyond

Interior of a house in the Uglichi settlement on the bank of the Volga. This is a country project by Aleksey Kapitanov, whose team created Khlebozavod No. 9, Supermetall and Krasnaya Strela in Moscow.

We were designing a show unit: a house that prospective buyers come to see. The audience is broad, so the interior had to appeal to many people without becoming derivative. Finding that balance was the main challenge of the project.
